I'm a full-time husband/father and clay enthusiast. I've been working with clay since about 2002 when I chose to fill a gap in my schedule at Cal State Fullerton with an elective art course. Like many who work with clay, I was bitten by "the bug" and haven't left the medium since. I currently teach a wheel throwing class at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, where I was also a ceramics technician.
The vast majority of my work is unique, one-of-a-kind, and made in small batches. Occasionally, I may make a series of pieces but that doesn't happen too often. Unless noted otherwise, all of my work is fired in a gas kiln (cone ten reduction), made with food-safe clays and glazes, and is microwave and dishwasher safe. Personally, I recommend hand washing handmade ceramic ware.
As a final note, due to my busy schedule with family and work (and clay when I can wedge it in), my standard packing and shipping turnaround time is set at 3-5 days. I don't anticipate taking any longer than this to pack and ship orders, but I will let you know if I manage to beat that. In regards to shipping, I provide estimated costs. If actual shipping costs are significantly different, I will contact you regarding this. Also, if you're local to Orange County, CA (or near enough) please contact me regarding the possibility of local pick-up. Perhaps we can arrange something.
Again, I appreciate that you have taken the time to read this! I'm excited to share my work with you and look forward to the possibilities here. Come back and visit. I may be running a seasonal promotion and/or sale from time to time.
